Jamu recipe for Facial and Skin Care
The famous herbal recipe widely used by Indonesian women to improve their complexion is a mixture called Mangir. Here is the formula.

INGREDIENTS:
Shepard turmeric (Curcuma heyneana, temu giring) – 3 finger-size cut
Turmeric rhizome (Curcuma domestica, rimpang kunyit) – 3 finger-size cut
Litsea cubeba powder (bubuk krangeyan) – 2 tablespoons
Atal – 1 piece
Rice (Oriza sativa, beras) – 1 tablespoonful
PREPARATION AND DOSAGE:
Peel and clean wash the turmeric rhizomes. Fine grind the rhizomes together with the Litsea powder and rice until you get a fine powder. Add the atal and compress the mixture to make a compact powder. When using it, mix the mangir with a little water and rub it onto the facial skin. Let it dry and stay for about 30 minutes. Wash off the mangir with lukewarm water. For maximum result repeat this, twice in a week.
